Electrical Safety: An Extension Cord Extra

Today I’m sharing a word about extension cords, those trusted electrical components that are great when you are in need of some extra room to connect to power where there isn’t an outlet when you need one. This can be an especially active scenario during the holidays when you want to plug in a myriad of items needing power to decorate just so, to make your heart happy with lots of lights, color and action for Christmas Morning. Here’s the deal. Extension cords are for temporary use, and if they aren’t put in a good place, that can shorten the life of thus said electrical component and lead to electrical fires. Yes, those Christmas tree lights are not going to hang around forever, but it’s always a good idea to be prepared, and by that, meaning, having enough power for all of your decorating needs and wants, which can also be applied to other times when you want to brighten things up in your interior.
